• The only surgeon in the world who has achieved the rehabilitation of a deaf/dumb/blind patient (Uscher Syndrome) after implanting an artificial vision device type ARGUS II.

•  Researcher in the surgical development of the Argus II implant. With the collaboration of the Company Argus II Sylmar California USA.
• Researcher in the Subretinal Implant of RPE Cells in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology of the Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota (USA).
• Research lines of gene therapy in Retinitis pigmentosa in collaboration with Novartis Lab.USA.
