La Dra. Marta Ibarz Barberá es oftalmóloga de la clínica Oftalvist Madrid.

Formación

• Licenciada en Medicina por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, 2000.
• Residencia en el Hospital Gregorio Marañón de 2001 a 2005.
• PhD,” Cum Laude”, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2019-2022). Instituto de Investigaciones Oftalmológicas Ramón Castroviejo. Micro-filtering surgery with the Preserflo Microshunt: Experimental fluidics, bleb morphology, corneal and biometrical changes. Seleccionado Premio Extraordinario 2023.

• Profesora asociado en el Máster de Optometría Clínica de la Universidad Europea (2007-2011).
• Profesora en los Cursos de Refracción para Residentes de Oftalmología en el Hospital Gregorio Marañón (2001-2005).
• Colaboración en los Cursos de Preparación para el Exámen M.I. R. (Oviedo, Asturias 2001-2002).

Actividad investigadora

Su actividad investigadora se ha desarrollado principalmente en las áreas de cirugía refractiva y cirugía de catarata con láser femtosegundo.
Actualmente dirige un estudio en colaboración con la Universidad Complutense (Facultad de Químicas y Facultad de Optometría) acerca de nuevas terapias en el síndrome de la disfunción de glándula de Meibomio y el ojo seco.

Sus áreas de interés incluyen: innovación en la sección de trasplante de córnea, ofreciendo a los pacientes la posibilidad de operarse mediante las técnicas más actuales (DSAEK, DMEK, DALK), además de la cirugía más clásica (queratoplastia penetrante); nuevas técnicas de microcirugía de glaucoma (MIGS); cirugía de catarata asistida por láser femtosegundo (FLACS); desarrollo de nuevos tratamientos para el ojo seco y la disfunción de la glándula de Meibomio.
